Biscuits

Ingredients: 

  • 2 cups flour 
  • 1 ½ T baking powder 
  • 1 t sugar 
  • ¾ t salt 
  • ½ cup cold butter, cubed 
  • 1 cup half and half 
  • ½ T butter, melted to brush on top 

Directions:

  1. Whisk together dry ingredients 
  2. Cut in butter until they’re in pea sized pieces 
  3. Add the half and half and mix until it just comes together 
  4. Pat into a rectangle, fold and pat again into a rectangle ¾” thick 
  5. Cut 2 ½” round biscuits and place on lined baking sheet 
  6. Bake at 450° for 12-15 minutes 
  7. Brush immediately with butter and top with flaky salt.
