Friday Saucea

Ingredients: 

  • ½ cup oil
  • 2 small or 1 large onion, chopped 
  • 3 large cans of tomato paste or 5 (12oz) cans
  • 4 cans of water/per can of paste
  • 2 teaspoons of salt (to taste)
  • Pepper (to taste)
  • 2-3 packets of sweet and low (to taste)
  • 1 teaspoon italian seasoning

Directions: 

  1. Saute onions in oil until lightly brown. 
  2. Add tomato paste and 7 cans of water – up to 8-9 with 5 cans of tomato paste. Stir well until tomato paste is well diluted. 
  3. Add remaining ingredients. 
  4. Bring to a rolling boil.
  5. Turn down to medium and cook 1-1 ½ hours.

Notes: 

  • May add a couple cloves of garlic if you prefer.
