Ingredients:
- ¼ cup warm water
- 2 t sugar
- 1 ½ t yeast
- ¾ cup milk, warm
- ¾ cup plain greek yogurt
- ½ cup vegetable oil, plus more for cooking
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 4 cups flour
- 1 t baking powder
- 1 t salt
- Fresh parsley, minced, for topping
Directions:
- Combine water, sugar, and yeast and let bloom.
- Add the rest of the ingredients and mix with your hands or a spoon until the dough comes together.
- Knead the dough until smooth, about 3-5 minutes.
- Lightly grease a bowl and place the dough in it and cover to let rest for about an hour or until doubled in size.
- Divide the dough into 10 equal pieces. Roll each piece out into a large oval, about ⅛-inch thick.
- Heat a large skillet with a small amount of oil and cook the naan for about 1-2 minutes per side. You will know the first side is done when large bubbles form and it gets golden brown. If needed, before flipping, brush the raw side with oil.
- To keep the naan warm as you work to cook the rest, wrap them in a kitchen towel.
- Top with minced parsley.
