Ingredients:
- 1 lb. beef, sliced at least 1/4 inch thin
- ¼ t salt
- ½ t pepper
- 2 T cornstarch, divided
- 1 T olive oil
- ¼ cup brown sugar
- ¼ cup soy sauce
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons sweet chili sauce, optional
- ¼ t ground ginger
Directions:
- Whisk together the soy sauce, brown sugar, minced garlic, sweet chili sauce, ginger, and 1 tablespoon of cornstarch and set aside.
- Heat up the oil in a large pan.
- Toss beef with salt, pepper, and remaining cornstarch.
- Add half the beef to the pan and cook for 1 minute per side until almost done.
- Remove the meat and cook the second half of the beed the same way.
- When the second half of the beef is done, add the first half of beef back to the pan and add the sauce, mixing well.
- Stir often and cook until the sauce thickens.
- Serve with rice and broccoli.
Notes:
- Use jasmine rice and cook it according to package directions, but using the same amount of coconut milk as the package says water.
