Pastry Ingredients:
- 2 sticks unsalted butter, softened
- 8 oz. cream cheese, softened
- ½ t salt
- 2 cups flour
Pastry Directions:
- Beat butter, cream cheese, and salt in a large bowl with an electric mixer until smooth.
- Beat in flour.
- Divide dough into 4 portions.
- Shape each portion into a disk.
- Wrap and chill until firm.
- On a floured surface, roll 1 portion of dough into a 10 inch circle.
Filling Ingredients:
- 1 stick unsalted butter or margarine, melted
- 1 ½ cups sugar
- 1 ½ t cinnamon
Filling Directions:
- Mix cinnamon and sugar together.
- Brush the circle of dough with 1 tablespoon melted butter.
- Sprinkle evenly with cinnamon sugar.
- Cut the circle into 12 wedges.
- Roll up from wide edge to point.
- Place 2 inches apart on a baking sheet.
- Bend into crescents.
- Repeat with remaining wedges and dough.
- Bake at 350° for 28 minutes or until golden.
- Let cool and then brush with remaining melted butter and sprinkling with remaining cinnamon sugar.
