Short Ribs

Ingredients: 

  • 4-6 short ribs (bone in) 
  • 1 T butter 
  • 2 T coconut aminos 
  • ⅓ cup red wine 
  • 1 can crushed tomatoes 
  • 1 small can tomato paste 
  • 2 cups water 
  • 1 yellow onion, diced 
  • 1 red pepper, diced 
  • 3 T sugar 
  • Seasonings: salt, pepper, garlic powder, italian seasoning

Directions: 

  1. Pat dry short ribs and season. 
  2. Sear short ribs in a dutch oven (or pot) on all sides. 
  3. Deglaze the pan with coconut aminos and red wine. 
  4. Add the rest of the ingredients with more seasoning and let simmer for about 4-5 hours or until fork tender.
