Cornbread

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup flour
  • 1/2 cup cornmeal
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 T baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 cup neutral oil
  • 3/4 cup milk
  • 4 T melted butter
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 T butter, softened, optional
  • 2 T honey, optional
  • Flaky salt, optional

Directions:

  1. Whisk together dry ingredients.
  2. Add wet ingredients to the bowl and stir until combined.
  3. Pour and spread in a greased 9×9 or 8×8 pan.
  4. Bake at 350 for about 30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  5. Immediately spread on softened butter and honey and top with flaky salt (optional).

Notes:

This can be doubled and put in a 9×13 pan.
